Peterson, a redshirt-senior defensive end, has impressed just about everybody in the program this offseason. After starting every game last year and finishing the season with 24 tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, five quarterback hurries and one forced fumble, he’s stepping into an even bigger role.

As one of eight returning starters from last year, he’s the most experienced player on the line and has been asked to be a bigger leader. He’s passed that test so far.
