After a preseason spent deliberating, a fall camp spent studying and an early portion of the 2020 season spent rotating, Gus Malzahn and new position coach Jack Bicknell Jr. finally cemented their strongest and most consistently capable starting offensive line about a month ago. That group, from left to right, was Alec Jackson, Tashawn Manning, Nick Brahms, Brandon Council and Brodarious Hamm.

“Sometimes when you play a good team, they’re just going to get pressure on the passer,” Nix said. “And that’s what they did today. They just kept those inside guys in there and they were able to bull rush and get their way through and penetrate a little bit.”
