The offensive line and the running backs fed off each other in Auburn’s best ground game of SEC play. Bigsby finished with 140 yards on 23 carries, a statistic in which Auburn’s offensive line takes pride. Run blocking has been a weak point relative to pass protection this season, so the complete performance against Ole Miss even prompted Brandon Council to tell reporters, “I told y’all, the O-line’s got this,” after the game.

Council and Brahms have both credited the recent success to improved chemistry on the line. Pass protection in particular will be crucial against Texas A&M (6-2, 3-2) at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. The Aggies have a deadly defensive front spearheaded by Tyree Johnson, DeMarvin Leal and Micheal Clemons, a trio that has combined for 15 sacks.
