The Cowboys 2020 free agency haul was highlighted by three defensive additions. Gerald McCoy, fellow defensive tackle Dontari Poe and safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix were the headliners of a busy offseason, but Poe hadn’t yet been able to participate fully in practice. On the same day McCoy had surgery and was subsequently released, the team has been activated Poe off the Active/PUP list.
Poe will play nose tackle for the Cowboys and line up next to the likes of Tyrone Crawford, second-year man Trysten Hill and third-round rookie Neville Gallimore. He’s expected to start with the support of Antwaun Woods who has started the previous two seasons. As camp goes on the Cowboys will make a few difficult depth chart decisions.
