Indiana signed California transfer defensive end JH Tevis on Wednesday.

The IU football program announced on its Twitter page Wednesday morning Tevis has signed. He visited the IU campus over the weekend after entering the transfer portal following the 2021 campaign.

The 6-foot-4 and 285 pound Tevis started all 12 games at defensive end for the Bears as a 2021 junior and contributed 37 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss (-14 yards), 1.0 sack (-2 yards), three pass breakups and two quarterback hurries. He earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention.

In total Tevis, a Piedmont, Cal. product, has played in 20 games from 2019 to 2021 at Cal. He has registered 60 tackles including three for a loss, two sacks, and three passes broken up. Tevis will arrive at IU with two years of eligibility remaining.
