Dunn was recruited to KU by defensive line coach Kwahn Drake, and he also heard from wide receivers coach Emmett Jones. However, Drake will likely be his position coach if he honors his commitment and signs with the Jayhawks. After all, Dunn, who plays both tight end and defensive end, has been evaluated by the 247Sports staff as the No. 97-ranked strong-side defensive end and No. 252-ranked Texas prospect in the Top247.

He is listed at 6-3, 255, though he told Phog.net he’s actually closer to 6-4, 280 now.

“I love how coach [Les] Miles is turning the program around,” Dunn told Phog.net. “I want to be a part of that winning program. And I love their defense.”
