Central Missouri offensive line transfer Dominick Puni has officially enrolled in classes at KU and is now on campus, a source confirms Phog.net. The listed 6-foot-5, 300-pound offensive tackle arrives in Lawrence with two seasons of playing eligibility remaining and 22 college games under his belt at the MAIA level.
KU recruited Puni — a native of St. Charles, Mo. — when he entered the transfer portal earlier this year. Offensive line coach Scott Fuchs led the charge for KU and the recruit made the trip to Lawrence to see KU before committing to the staff. Last season, Puni was listed as a participant in the first two games of the season. He did not play after that due to an injury and subsequently earned a redshirt. Central Missouri did not play in 2020 but prior to, Puni started all 13 games at left tackle as a sophomore in 2019. He was named Honorable Mention All-MIAA that season. As a freshman in 2018, he played in seven games.
