Another offensive lineman is following Mario Cristobal from the Oregon Ducks to the Miami Hurricanes. Jonathan Denis, a former four-star recruit from Homestead South Dade, is transferring to Miami after two seasons at Oregon. The offensive lineman announced his commitment Saturday on Twitter, less than a week after he entered the transfer portal.
Denis did not play in two seasons with the Ducks, redshirting in 2020 and missing all of 2021 with a knee injury. He began this spring in Oregon playing center on the Ducks’ second-team offensive line before another injury limited him. He announced his intention to transfer Sunday on Twitter. The 6-foot-3, 296-pound redshirt freshman have four seasons of eligibility remaining thanks to the extra year granted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
