The way Missouri coach Eliah Drinkwitz fussed over his offensive line heading into Saturday’s visit from No. 2 Alabama, expectations for a unit ransacked by attrition figured to be measured at best. At worst, pretty darn low.

By game’s end, Drinkwitz sounded almost relieved to report the O-line wasn’t among his biggest concerns.

“I thought our offensive line actually played pretty well,” he said after the Tigers’ 38-19 loss. “I thought they opened up some holes, and I think we were pretty good on some short-yardage runs.”
