Robert Grigsby ended his three-school official visit schedule on Sunday. On Friday afternoon the high-three-star interior offensive lineman committed to North Carolina.
Grigsby, a 6-foot-3, 310-pound standout at Kennesaw (Ga.) North Cobb, began his travels with a June 10 official trip to NC State. He then officially visited Vanderbilt a weekend back and finished with UNC this past weekend.
Following a scholarship offer in early March, Grigsby visited UNC for a junior day where the Tar Heels offered. Prior to this spring, he was being recruited by both former Tar Heel offensive line coach Stacey Searles and current offensive line coach Jack Bicknell, except Bicknell offered Grigsby a scholarship as a Louisville assistant coach. Due to the prior relationship, UNC’s offensive line coaching change was seamless with Grigsby’s recruitment.
Grigsby is ranked the No. 43 inside offensive lineman in the Class of 2023 by the 247Sports Composite and the No. 54-ranked player in the state of Georgia.
