Mason Brooks is the new guy on the block when it comes to the Ole Miss offensive line. He announced his decision to transfer to the Rebels from Western Kentucky on Monday. A two-star prospect coming out of high school, the Cedar Park, Texas native worked himself to being the top-rated offensive lineman in the transfer portal with a grade of 88 from 247Sports.

He played offensive tackle at Western Kentucky, but Ole Miss returns both of its starting tackles in Nick Broeker on the left side and Jeremy James on the right. Where will Brooks fit in? He is obviously going to fit in somewhere?

That likely means Broeker on or James will shift inside.

“I think the tackle position is kind of where the plan is there,” Brooks told Inside the Rebels. “With Broeker coming back and the center (Orlando Umana) leaving, I think probably some guys will shift around to my understanding.”
