Oregon added to its 2023 recruiting class on Friday with the commitment of defensive tackle Tevita Pome’e.

A three-star prospect, Pome’e announced his commitment to the Ducks during a ceremony at Layton Christian Academy in Layton, Utah. He chose Oregon over Oregon State, Utah, Arizona, Washington and others.

As a junior, the 6-foot-3, 315-pound Pome’e played both offensive and defensive line. He had 53 tackles with seven for loss, including 4.5 sacks and helped anchor an offensive line that paved the way for two 1,000-yard rushers.
