For the second consecutive recruiting cycle the Oregon State Beavers football program is making a big summer push.

That streak continued Thursday, as San Diego Mesa College offensive tackle Andrew Johnson announced his commitment to the Beavers over offers from Kansas and New Mexico State.

The 6-foot-4, 325-pound lineman, who has four years to play three, has an intriguing athletic profile.

Johnson was a two-time all-American wrestler in high school and puts up stellar numbers in the weight room – 590-pound squat, 405-pound bench press and 325-pound clean.
