Philadelphia defensive end prospect Jameial Lyons announced Friday afternoon that he has committed to the Nittany Lions over offers from several power conference schools including Pitt, West Virginia, Nebraska and Virginia Tech.
Lyons — a Roman Catholic High School product – measures 6-foot-4, 240 pounds, and scouts are split on how his talents stack up.
Rivals rates him as a three-star prospect with rankings of No. 19 at his position and No. 19 in the state, while 247 Sports gives him four stars and ranks him 27th at his position and seventh in Pennsylvania.
