After a relatively quiet offseason in the NCAA transfer portal, Penn State has finally made a big splash with the addition of edge rusher Demeioun Robinson.
Robinson announced his transfer to Penn State in a social media post Tuesday morning.
Robinson will have three seasons of eligibility remaining upon his arrival at Penn State.
Robinson spent last season at Maryland, where he appeared in all 13 games. He finished with 19 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks with the Terrapins. Robinson was listed at 6-foot-4, 250 pounds on the Maryland roster last season.
Robinson should provide an immediate boost. He was a four-star recruit out of Quince Orchard (Md.) in the 247Sports composite rankings. He also ranked as the No. 3 player in Maryland, the No. 4 edge rusher nationally and the No. 68 overall prospect in the Class of 2021.
In the 247Sports house rankings, Robinson was a five-star recruit and checked in as the No. 1 player in Maryland, the No. 2 edge rusher nationally and the No. 22 overall prospect.
