Vols senior defensive lineman LaTrell Bumphus will likely miss the remainder of the season, head coach Jeremy Pruitt announced on Monday.
This season, Bumphus has 14 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1.0 sack. He also has one quarterback hurry on the season.
Bumphus finished with 23 tackles and tied for second on the Vols with six tackles for loss during his junior season in 2019. He appeared in 11 games and made six starts.
“It was unfortunate with LaTrell, during warmups (vs. Arkansas) somebody fell into his leg,” Pruitt told reporters over Zoom. “He’s probably going to be out four to six weeks.
“He’s probably going to miss the rest of the season. That’s unfortunate for him.”
