Texas football offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Kyle Flood is quickly rising up the list as one of the most important assistant coaches not only on Steve Sarkisian’s staff but in the entire country.
Flood, who was the head coach at Rutgers from 2012-2015, followed Sarkisian from Alabama to Texas after serving as the Tide’s offensive line coach in 2019 and 2020.
Flood has proven to be an absolute ringer on the recruiting trail as he looks to rebuild a Longhorn offensive line unit that has seemingly struggled over the last decade. He led the charge in landing the number one offensive line class in 2022. The Longhorns brought in seven freshman offensive linemen including two five-stars.
On Sunday, Flood and the Longhorns landed five offensive recruits in the 2023 cycle including four offensive linemen.
