Texas Tech’s football recruiting class continued a recent hot stretch with the addition of Isaac Smith, a 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive end who had 13 sacks last season for an Oklahoma Class 4A state-semifinal team at Wagoner.
Smith switched his allegiance from Tulsa, to whom he had been committed since mid-April.
He was ranked as the No. 26 prospect on The Oklahoman’s Super 30 list of the state’s top high-school recruits. He also was a second-team honoree to Maxpreps preseason all-Oklahoma team from all classifications.
