Round and round the coaching carousel goes, with a new plot twist recalling the name of Clay Helton, but not at USC.
This time, it’s a story involving the UCLA Bruins. After Chip Kelly signed a new deal, he began making some changes to his coaching staff.
One part of this reshuffle on the coaching staff, after Justin Frye left for Ohio State, has some USC ties. The Bruins are expected to hire Tim Drevno as their new offensive line coach, according to Tracy Pierson of 247 Sports.
Drevno spent two separate stints at Heritage Hall, with the most recent time resulting in a firing from Clay Helton at the end of the 2020 season. Since then, Drevno has been with the Bruins in an analyst role and now might receive a promotion to OL coach.
