On Wednesday, USC defensive tackle Jay Tufele opted out of the upcoming college football and declared his intention to enter the 2021 NFL Draft. With the Pac-12 opting to move their season back due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this is hardly a surprise, as Tufele stands out as a player who will undoubtedly be in the first-round conversation.
The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Tufele played on the nose, as a one-tech and a three-tech defensive lineman in the middle of the USC defense. He is a big and strong defensive tackle who is impressive at the point of attack and shows extremely powerful hands at all times.
