The Utes kept the recruiting momentum rolling into the weekend, as Kyle Whittingham and his Utah football program received the commitment of 2023 three-star defensive lineman Caleb Bryant. He announced during his official visit to Utah over the weekend, Bryant found everything he wanted in a college program and the Utes added a tenacious defensive lineman to the trenches.

Bryant is a talented defensive lineman prospect, checking in at 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, he combines promising athletic traits to go along with his size. He’s also had a very productive two years in high school to this point. Last season, as a junior, Bryant totaled 14 tackles for loss and 11 sacks, building on his 16 tackles for loss and nine sacks he totaled as a sophomore.

Bryant is currently rated a high three-star prospect by 247Sports with an 87 rating, and checks in as the No. 82 defensive lineman in the class. Whereas according to the industry generated Composite Rating, Bryant holds a three-star .8892 rating, where he is ranked as the No. 51 defensive lineman in the country and No. 6 player in the state of Mississippi. Bryant held 25 offers, which includes Power Five offers from Miami, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Utah among others.
