Today, we’ll take a look at the offensive line, whose progress figures to be a very important factor for Utah this season. The Utes are set to open the season with nearly the same offensive line group that has played and started started together since the second game of the season in 2019.

The group as a whole has to get better and it starts at the top with those who have been there the longest… or at least those who have played the most in the group, Umana and Ford. With 46 starts between them, both Ford and Umana have assumed a larger leadership role within the offensive line group. That’s an important development for their own personal growth but also for the betterment of those around them. Now that Ford has moved to left tackle, that provides Utah with two experienced linemen at the two most important positions.
