Michigan graduate transfer Stephen Spanellis figured to be in the mix for a starting spot on the offensive line, if for no other reason than that he’s one of the few players in that unit with Division I experience. Instead, Spanellis is going to opt out of the season, and Vanderbilt is left with a starter from last year, two backups, a transfer from Central Connecticut State, and exactly one other guy who has even seen a snap in a college game.

And you thought things were going to be bad. This is going to be brutal.
