After running the scout team offensive line for a year while he served is year in residency after transferring from Coastal Carolina, Brock Hoffman recorded his first career start at Virginia Tech on Saturday night against the NC State Wolfpack and he lived up to the expectations.
Hoffman, who transferred to Virginia Tech ahead of the 2019 season, was deemed ineligible last fall by the NCAA despite moving closer to home to be near his mother as she was battling a brain tumor.
On Saturday night, he made the most of his first ACC experience, helping pave the way for Virginia Tech to rush for over 300-yards in a victory over NC State.
For his efforts, he was named the ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week.
