When West Virginia’s talented defensive line of Darius and Dante Stills and Jefferey Pooler line up for its first play at Oklahoma State on Saturday there will be a familiar smiling — but snarling — face on the other side of the line.

That would be Josh Sills, a one-time Mountaineer who could have been one of the anchors on WVU’s offensive line this year.

Sills had started 24 games at WVU along with his buddy, tackle Colton McKivitz, until missing the last 10 games of the 2019 season due to a shoulder injury, an injury that allowed him to be granted a medical redshirt for this year.

“We were just OK,” he said. “Some of that was that I take every first game with a grain of salt, whether it’s your game or the opponent’s game. I think there was a little bit of that and just some jitters.”
